Instead of another Bill Whan post, here's some actual bird news. Just like you see on every other state's listserv. I check the Pennsylvania listserv regularly, since I live so close to that state, and I've never seen the kind of garbage that has taken over the Ohio listserv lately. Nuff said...........today I saw 4 cedar waxwings dive into a bush at the Rulli's grocery store in Boardman. You never know when or where you'll see an interesting bird! I also spotted an Am. robin in Poland Twp., my first of the winter. Lastly, I again checked the Mahoning River from Struthers - Lowellville in the afternoon. Seen there were: 100 Canada geese, 25 mallards, 4 Am. black ducks, 6 ring-necked ducks, lesser scaup, 2 buffleheads, 5 hooded mergansers, common merganser, red-tailed hawk, and 2 e. bluebirds.
