This afternoon, Vicki Derr and I were able to locate three SHORT EARED OWLS at the Rehoboth reclaimed strip mine area, which we call the Perry county wilds. They are just north of New Lexington. This has been a reliable location for six or seven years now, although numbers have been down the last two years. Seeing three at the same time already means that this will be a better year.
     Also observed three Northern Harriers.
For the other five or six Perry county birders, or anyone else, who would like more details, just let me know.
