I was able to add a few species to my not-great January list, at least closing in on the halfway mark. Nothing unusual but I was happy to add some sparrows at the feeders at Glacier Knoll as Denison has been nearly sparrow-less the last month or so: White-crowned (2), White-throated & Tree Sparrow (1) considerably outnumbered by house sparrows. There were 5 Mute Swans in the far ponds from the observation deck there.
Picked up 2 Black Ducks at Wood Duck Pond where I heard Sandhill Cranes as well. An adult Bald Eagle was perched not far from the old nest. Flyby E Bluebird. A few robins around.
Other ducks were mallard, Ring-necked. Pretty quiet overall but good to get out.
