The Ohio Cardinal’s schedule says winter is here, despitewhat the weather and calendar say. That means it’s time to send in your Augustthrough November sightings.  They go toCraig Caldwell, 1270 W. Melrose Dr., Westlake, OH, 44145 or CardinalATohiobirds.org(substitute the “@” symbol for “AT”).  Inaddition to sightings, we welcome photos, field notes, anecdotes, generalinterest articles, and research papers. If you enter your sightings into eBird, you do not need to send a report– we download all the entries directly from Cornell.  Feel free, however, to expand on items in youreBird list in a separate note to me, because I can’t look at every note ineBird.

Digital photo files, please; send prints only with priorapproval.  If you post photos toFaceBook, Flickr, or the like, you can send links to them rather than the photofiles themselves.  Photos and links go toPhoto Editor Christopher Collins, chris.collinsATohiobirds.org.

The deadline is December 21.  Thank you in advance.

Craig Caldwell
Editor, The Ohio CardinalThe Ohio Ornithological Society
