Denison
Finally, some migrants and overall decent bird activity at Denison this morning. I had a nice mixed flock not far from the parking lot when I first arrived. The whole trip was worth it for my FOY sighting of a male Scarlet Tanager at the top of a tree with the morning sun on him—spectacular! Some birds I never get tired of seeing.

The flock was high in the trees & did not linger long, so I’m sure I missed some birds. I was delighted to hear a close Prairie Warbler and hoping that they will nest here again this year. I also heard then later had good looks at my FOY Kentucky Warbler as well as my FOY Magnolia.

Another highlight was FOY Least FC—calling & showing well.
