At least one White Pelican was visible from the boat ramp at Oxbow at Hoover this morning around 10:30. Could be seen somewhat better by taking the short trail N from the parking lot. A scope is helpful for better views. 2 Bald Eagles near the best.

I didn’t see it but a couple other birders had seen a Lesser Black-backed Gull earlier from the end of that trail.

Also had a Brown Creeper, Golden-crowned Kinglets & Bluebirds on that trail.

At the Galena Boardwalk, 6 Osprey were seen, none of whom seemed willing to try to displace the Canada Goose pair who have taken over the W Osprey platform.

I counted 9 Great Egrets tucked amongst the woods as well as at least one Great Blue.

Buffleheads, Ruddies, RB Mergansers.
