I stopped at the beach and the Hollenback Rd marina after work today, and
found a few waterbirds on the windy lower reservoir. A hike around the
beach and Visitors Center area wasn't near as productive, with small
numbers of the expected land birds. Best birds were:

Tundra Swans - 8 birds far out in the middle of the lower reservoir
Bufflehead - a pair off the beach and another off the marina
Horned Grebes - small flocks off both ehe beach and the marina
CommonLoon - the only one was far out from the marina
Gulls - large flock pf 250 birds on the water off the beach - mostly
Ring-bills, with only a few Bonapartes and Herring mixed in.
