I biked around the northern portions of this MetroPark west of Dublin yesterday (before temp.s got too low), then drove down to check out Lake Corazon, Honda Wetlands, and Trabue Preserve. Despite ice-free water, there were no waterfowl on Lake Corazon and only a handful of Mallards & geese at the wetland. Best birds were an adult Red-shouldered hawk and 2 juvenile Red-headed Woodpeckers along the portion of the Multi-use loop trail south of the parking lot. Aside from woodpeckers & flock birds, other birds were scarce. I didn't see any sparrows here, and only found a flock of White-throats at Trabue on my last stop.
