What a gorgeous day to be in the marsh!  And the fall colors are getting
intoxicating!
Here is what was seen and heard this morning during our monthly count:

Pied-billed grebe, DC Cormorant,Great Blue Heron, Great Egret, Trumpeter
Swan, Canada Goose, Mallard, Wood Duck, Red-tailed hawk, Killdeer,
Sanderling, Herring Gull, Ring-billed gull, Bonaparte's Gull,
Kingfisher, N. Flicker, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Downy, E. Phoebe, Tree
Swallows, Black Capped Chickadee, White-breasted nuthatch, Winter Wren,
Carolina Wren, Catbird, A. Robin, Swainson's Thrush, GC Kinglet, RC
Kinglet, Blue-headed Vireo, Red-eyed Vireo, Yellow-rumped warbler,
Bay-Breasted, Blackpoll, Red-winged blackbird, Rusty blackbird,
Brown-headed cowbird, Common Grackle, E. Starling, E. Towhee, Juncos,
White-throated sparrow, House Finch, Am. Goldfinch and House
Sparrow..............
