I visited this area June 7th through June 10th
I had the 19 Breeding Warblers plus 2 Migrant Warblers The NOWA and CAWA The CAWA has been present for weeks and has been singing They like disturbed Conifers which are in this area
I have seen very few young As observed by many Birders this spring, the Breeding cycle has been late
Some birds were more active this week like the CERW and YTWA
Some birds were less active like the NOPA and OVEN
At one point an OVEN popped up and was leading us away from it’s nest
Also I flushed a Whip-poor-will The bird flew a few feet and perched on a small tree trunk Then it repeated this behavior The bird stayed perched for a long time I knew there were young around but I could not locate them after a brief look As I walked away the bird was still perched
