I forgot to post this yesterday.

Denison had more bird activity than I’ve seen for awhile. Best find was a single Rusty Blackbird that perched at eye level long enough for me to get a good look at it including the bright yellow eye. I have only seen Rusties at Denison a couple times & this was certainly the best view I’ve had of one there.

Other highlights were 3 Hermit Thrushes and 2 Golden-crowned Kinglets. A gathering of at least 9 bluebirds in the swallow field was nice—hope Denison puts up the bluebird boxes soon—the birds were already perching on the posts.

Mostly White-throated Sparrows but a couple Song and I heard Tree Sparrows. Had all the WPs except YB Sapsucker. 2 Black Vultures flew over & a Red-shouldered was perched up. Otherwise just the expected birds.
