Or 95 for Ohio. Recall I have the western grebe and Merlin from near Dayton.
Three Cacklers were found earlier today by a fellow birder. Kellog Ave. soccer
fields - Hamilton county. So I switched directions and went south. Success!
That playing field area gets the goose flocks. Yea! Although that was my only
New bird today…… not good! Still a chance down here, but it’s going to be
Difficult now. Would help if a cowbird or purple finch showed up in my yard!
I went north after the Cackling - Caesar creek and Cowan lake. Warren and
Clinton counties. Caesar creek open water. Waterfowl at the marina end,
But I couldn’t find a horned grebe or RB Merg. Sigh….. Cowan lake had some
Open water, but a lot of ice still. It always amazes me how long it takes for
The ice to melt. Even in the rain! I heard Fernald is still frozen. No open
Water yet. Hopefully by tomorrow! Birds are moving around.
I had time so hit spring grove cemetery before my house. That’s my most
Reliable spot for Turkey. I spent 30 minutes cruising around the back area
There. No Turkeys……lots of Robins though!
Good birding all.
