It was pretty interesting today. It started very slow with few birds moving
until 8:00, and after that things picked up quick. Unfortunately things
quieted down quickly and by 9:00 it was pretty dead. Best birds today were
a close flying immature male HARLEQUIN DUCK (heading east), 3 WHITE-WINGED
SCOTERS, 2 RED-THROATED LOONS flying together low over the water, a
RED-NECKED GREBE also flying low heading east.
Location- Lakeshore Reservation, North Perry, Lake County
Date- November 21, 2006, Time- 7:00-9:00
Weather- Cloudy, Winds- N 5
Temperature- 39-41 F, Barometer- 30.47-30.51
Humidity- 75-76, Dew point- 32-34
Waves- 1-2
