I spent a few hours at Conneaut this afternoon, there was a lot of windsurfer action and fewer birds than yesterday.  Of note were 4 blue-winged teal, hooded merganser, Am. golden-plover, ruddy turnstone, sanderling, red knot, ad. white-rumped sandpiper, juv. Baird's sandpiper, short-billed dowitcher, Caspian terns, and purple martin.  I did a lot of lake watching today and yesterday in hopes of a jaeger or rarer gull, but no luck.  Good to see JP got those, I wonder if the Headlands crew had any success with that.  Lorain and Huron sure would have been worth a look too.  On the way home today, I saw 4 Am. kestrels along Rte. 7 in Richmond Twp., Ashtabula Co.  Later, Craig
