Andy Newman checked out East Fork this morning and could not locate the Sabine's. I was there with John Price in the early afternoon and also could not relocate the gull. Andy did report a Franklin's gull and the Laughing gull was still present. I also observed a single eared grebe (not mixed in with the numerous horned grebes). A raft of ruddy ducks were fun to watch as were a couple loons. One of the loons appeared to have a slimmer bill and has the GIS of a red-throated, but it was too far away to see any reliable field marks. Future observers may want to take a closer look at the loons & grebes. No sign of the greater black-backed today.

Beautiful day to be out!
Heather
