It is still the beginning of March! But such a nice day that I had to go
Somewhere! Gilmore it was. Singing Rusty Blackbird was nice. Tree
Swallows feeding. Lots of flying tiny insects. Good! Bird food. GW Teal
At the cattail marsh. The usual passerine birds. In very low numbers.
I assume time of day played a role with that. I went mid afternoon.
There’s been extensive mowing and brush removal under the power lines.
Be interesting to see how that affects spring migration. Cattail marsh and
Smartweed flats have water again. Yea! North pond is still North puddle.
Good for shorebirds if that lasts! No success with the over wintering
Least around.

I’m torn on whether to edit more trip pics or get out again Monday!
I have directions for Richardson and skunk cabbage. Still might be iffy.
Requires a stream crossing…..

Good birding all.
