Checking parks along the Olentangy corridor, I found many residents and few
early migrants.  I stopped at Antrim Lake, 2 areas of Highbanks MetroPark
(Coyote Trail and Scenic River Trail), and Shale Hollow Preserve.  Notables
included

Red-shouldered Hawk - 1 was calling at Antrim Lake, where they likely
attempted nesting this year
Wild Turkey - a hen was hanging around the Nature Center feeders at
Highbanks
Hummingbirds - Ruby-throats of various ages & sexes were at many sites
Flycatchers - Pewees were widespread, but the only Acadian was one calling
at Shale Hollow
Purple Martins - 3 were flying over the meadow of the Coyote Trail at
Highbanks
Gnatcatchers - no great numbers, but a few were at nearly every stop
Vireos - Red-eyed in many locations, but also had Warbling (Antrim) and
Yellow-throated (Scenic River Trail)
Warblers - a Hooded was still calling from a ravine along the Coyote Trail,
while a singing Black & White near there was almost certainly a wanderer.
Tanager - the only one found was a calling Scarlet at Shale Hollow
Oriole - the only one was a calling Baltimore along the Scenic River Trail

Shale Hollow's upland prairie plantings continue to be a good butterfly
magnet, with loads of skippers, Cabbage Whites, and Pearl Crescents, along
with a few Cloudless Sulphurs
