As some are talking about Hawks at feeders, at my grandmas, we've had
immature Cooper at the front view feeders. Surprisingly, he/she has shown
up everyday. But comes out empty handed ;) He usually perches on the trees
on the side of the house, then flys around to the front and cruises
through. The feeding birds flock into the think pine like trees and bushes.
But Downy, Nuthatches and Bluejays usually continue to feed as the hawk
watches. Even when the crows come to the feeders, even then will fly away
from the Cooper.
