For the last five minutes, a continuous line of common grackles has been flying over my yard here in beautiful downtown Perry County. First thought they were redwings, but when I got binoculars on them, the tail and bird both too big. This is definitely a first.
Also had the first towhee, a female, of the entire winter yesterday. The fox sparrow has now been here over 30 days.
