We went to the northeast lake access at Buck Creek State Park this morning.
There is open water there with the rest of the lake being frozen. We found
all of the common duck species except Blue-winged Teal there this morning.
We saw lots of Northern Pintails and American Wigeon. We also saw about 29
Tundra Swans and one white morph Snow Goose and lots of Canada Geese. It was
perfect this morning with the mudflats frozen but that will end within the
next day as the temperatures warm.
