I deliberately hit Oldaker at mid day. Because of hunting. No success. Still
Hunters! Rabbit hunters with dogs. I explored a little, but not off path with
The huMyers there. It was actually slow. Time of day? The overcast conditions
With light snow? I was after Junco and a few other missing late fall passerines.
And still missing them.

The stone gravel pits was its usual birdy self. Alas the weather had closed in
By then. Wind, light snow. All water was open. I'll hit here after the deep freeze
If I have time. No Shoveler - another Highland bird. But picked up Bonapartes
Gulls! Highland bird. Ring necked ducks, Ruddys, gadwall. The usual. No coots,
But I didn’t scan everywhere with that weather.

Good birding all.
