I went to Villa Angela and Wildwood State Parks today on the east side of Cleveland on Lake Erie. I had planned on going anyway but I had a message in the middle of the day that there were good birds at Villa Angela/Wildwood. I was there only from 5:10pm to 7:10pm and tried to find a few of the birds that had previously been seen. Could not find them all but found a few and some different ones. It was approx 71 degrees, 18mph SSW winds. Because of the high winds most birds I saw were in Villa Angela. Here is an abbreviated list:
Caspian Tern 1 WW
Least Flycatcher 1 VA (FOS for me)
Great Crested Flycatcher 2
Carolina Wren 1 sing VA
House Wrens 3
Winter Wrens 2
Golden-crowned Kinglets - few
Ruby-crowned Kinglets 7-8
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher - many ~15
Wood Thrush 1 heard only (heard also in AM)
Yellow-rumped Warblers 7-8
Black-and-White Warbler 1
Palm Warblers 3-4
WORM-EATING WARBLER 1 (very good picture)
Common Yellowthroat 1 m
Hooded Warbler 1m (seen also in AM)
SCARLET TANAGER 1
Field Sparrows 3 (2VA & 1WW)
Swamp Sparrow 1
White-throated - many (didn't count) over 30
