Today I checked out Scranton Flats during my lunch hour. A good variety of waterfowl were enjoying the open water, including several sparrow species and finch foraging along the walking path:
Hooded & Red-Breasted Mergs
Redhead
Lesser Scaup
Bufflehead
Mallard
Common Goldeneye
Ruddy Duck
Pied-Billed Grebe
Ring-billed & Herring Gulls
Black-crowned Night Herons
American Tree, Song & White-throated Sparrows
American Goldfinch

Oh, that I had the wings of a dove! I would fly away and be at rest.
