Is still there! Friends and I had a very nice look at it hunting. And then
my usual far digiscope shot.....
Still some lingering ducks. And returning waterfowl - like Blue winged Teal.
Most were showing nicely at a Silo Pond I think it was. West of the visitors
center. i am still learning the names of the ponds. A canvasback was on
the weapons pond.
Most birds were singing. Setting up territories. Field Sparrows, Meadowlarks,
etc. I had a heard only Greater Yellowlegs. My foy.
Big year notes - I am still concentrating on winter birds.
Like Ross's Goose - which was found Sat at a warehouse area with lots of
ponds and Canadas. I head up Sunday afternoon. Do I see?? No......
I figured gone, but another report came in from Sunday. Morning. So its
either sticking or it left Sunday noon. I might try again Tues.
Nature notes - I have had Cabbage White butterflies around. Some introduced
flower species blooming. Spring Peepers calling.
Good birding all.
