I hit here trying for the Least Bittern. No success with that, but had
2 Common Gallinules in a cattail - marsh area as I walked the RR tracks
from Gilmore Rd. That was nice! But I think the Least Bittern is more
important at present for my big year...... I'll try again in a week or so.
It was easy walking for me along the RR tracks. Except for the 2 times I
had to climb down because of trains!

Nothing else out of the ordinary. I didn't hit the area for the BC night heron.
And none flying overhead. Another bird I need for the big year!

Catbirds were much more vocal today. I had them in good numbers.

RFI - I too echo Peggy's question on the Kites. I want to take a friend
and fellow birder to see on. Next week sometime. Is Chillicothe good
this year? Thank you.

Good birding all.
