Since yet another first-of-season junco has been reported, it reminds me that I forgot to report mine. On October 8 (rather early) I saw a junco flitting around in the brush along the edge of our lower sheep pasture, a nice clean individual. I didn't see any others before I left for California on the 13th. I guess it was an advance scout or an adventurous individual who came down with the first white-throated sparrows of the season. (I heard them on the same day.) Anyway, on Flint Ridge in Muskingum County our FOS junco this year was October 8.
