Yesterday & today over 2,000 Canada Geese were on the grass, flying overhead, on the ice, & in the water (the latter today) at Lake White.  Why are so many gathering in this location right now?  Is this unusual for that area?  Ebird had no records this high for that spot.

I also saw 1 white morph Snow Goose, 1 Great Blue Heron, 47 Mallards, 4 European Starlings, & heard 2 Blue Jays.
