I stayed close to home, working the parks along the Scioto River from Griggs dam down to Greenlawn dam/Berliner Park. From the first stop, it was apparent that we were in a good fallout day, with lots of neotropical migrants at every stop. The main stops were the riparian areas below Griggs dam, below Long Street Dam, and below Greenlawn dam (in Berliner Park), so the emphasis was on forest birds. Migrants were especially thick at Berliner, since it is larger & more isolated than the others. Later, an afternoon stop at Blendon Woods confirmed the massive size of the fallout, as Bruce Simpson will post later. Highlights for the Scioto river parks included:
Flycatchers - Crested, Phoebes at both Griggs & Berliner; E.WoodPewee,Least,& Acadian at Berliner; E.Kingbird @ Griggs
Swallows - Tree, Rough-winged, Bank, Barn, & Cliff all at Griggs, though not in any great numbers
Vireos - 1 Blue-headed at Berliner; Warblings at every stop (25+ in 2.5 hours); 3-4 Red-eyed at Berliner
Wrens,Kinglets,Gnatcatchers - House Wrens abundant at all stops; 2-3 Ruby-crowned Kinglets still at Berliner; large #s of Gnatcatchers at all stops (50+ total)
Thrushes - Veeries at Long St. dam & Berliner; Swainson's calling at Long St. dam & Berliner; 5-6 Wood Thrushes singing & squabbling at Berliner

Yellow - good #s at most stops, topped by 8-10 at Long St. dam
Parulas - 2-3 at each stop
Nashville - many at each stop, topped by 10-12 at Berliner; perhaps 30 all morning
Tennessee - 2 at Long St., 3-4 at Berliner
