I was actually going to hit here before i heard about the RN Grebe from
yesterday! I do like that area and want to explore it more. I have been
intrigued with the waterfowl reports since i returned from vacation.
So off I went exploring! The weather dampened my spirits though.....
Cold! 25 degrees and 25 mph nw winds. Eeeks.

Both Scaup sp. Goldeneyes, Bufflehead, were the numbers waterfowl.
RN Duck, Hooded Merg, common loon, Horned Grebe - were the just
a few in numbers species. One of the Horned Grebes was almost in
complete breeding plumage! Beautiful!

I did my best scanning, but no RN Grebe, that would be an Ohio bird for
me. Could still be around. Whitecaps on the lake didn't help scanning!

Foy Phoebe. Robins in flocks everywhere, DC Corms all back.

Nature notes - Red maple down here is starting to bloom.

Down here is Cin. Oakley.
