I found a huge variety of ducks at Springfield Lake this morning, clinging
to the unfrozen edges along the northeastern and western sides of the lake.
Lots of Canvasbacks, Redheads, both Greater and Lesser Scaups, Gadwall, a
few Horned Grebes, as well as more common species. Eight Tundra Swans also
put on a nice show circling above the lake and calling out.

I didn't have enough time to sift through them all to look for rarities.
Good views with a scope may be possible for the northeastern group from the
roller rink to the south.
