Yep, predictable. They arrive with the first blast of winter weather when the Witch of November chases them out of Alaska and Canada and across northern Ohio on their way to Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Coast for the winter. Three “V”s of swans so far totaling 124 over Eldon Russell Park where I’m out in a canoe bringing in the Prothonotary Warbler and Tree Swallow bird houses off the Upper Cuyahoga. Can’t wait any longer for an Indian summer day. Sandhill cranes bugling off in the river swamps too. Hoping to see an otter.
