Not much at the one pond with any shorebird conditions: just a few peeps, least & semipalmated plus a couple SP Plovers.
Went on to Pick Ponds. One year bird for me: Bell’s Vireo (2 singing, one from each side of the trail). While I was listening to them, a Chat sounded off and did a brief flutter display flight, something I haven’t seen for awhile—v cool.
I also had a group of Hooded Mergansers—do they nest there?
