The cooler temps drew a large number of birders and photographers to the teal trail this morning.
I overheard that someone had seen godwits flush earlier but don’t know the particulars.
I did not see any Dowitchers but saw most of the other shorebirds mentioned on other posts & the ebird summary.
Good looks at Buff-breasted, Baird’s, Least SPs and one Pectoral SP. A nice Black-bellied Plover still with a lot of black on its belly. Some Lesser YLs. Close looks at a pair of Wilson’s Snipes—certainly the most cooperative I’ve ever seen/photographed.
Two N Harriers hunting low over the reeds was also a treat. Several Great Egrets.
It was late by the time I checked for the Blue grosbeak at Kuhlwein Rd and dipped on that.
