Robert Lane has reported previously about the White Pelican present at
Meander since mid-summer. The I-80 observer said she saw the "profile" of a
pelican with cormorants and gulls. She almost certainly saw the White
Pelican. There is no public access and few viewing locations on this
reservoir. The best location to stop and search would probably be the
Mahoning Ave. causeway that runs between Austintown and North Jackson.

Hi all, didn't know if many noticed the report but a Brown Pelican was
reported on a drive by on I-80 over Meander Reservoir, Mahoning Co. Ohio.
That is a very good bird for Ohio and I wondered if anybody has been there
to try and confirm its presence????

Worth checking if you live nearby, especially appreciated by myself and
others as it would be a state bird for us. Reports positive or negative are
good.
