WSW Winds are ripping Lake Erie at 25 to 30 with gusts of 40 to even 50mph. Even without a northern component, there is solid movement of birds on the lake, with Bonaparte's in fair numbers, waterfowl moving far on the horizon. Jerry Talkington had a Parasitic Jaeger and a few White-winged Scoters pass by Headlands Beach SP this morning. Passerines are doing their best to hold against the winds as they pack into small woodland patches on the lake. Gabriel Leidy reports not less than 50 Yellow-rumped Warblers getting whipped by the wind at Lorain impoundment's woodlot.
