Despite the oppressive heat & humidity, I had a productive afternoon visit. 

Best bird was a close Yellow-breasted Chat, at first silent but then it did some soft vocalizing. I believe I actually saw 2 birds. A real treat!

Only other warblers were Yellow, Blue-winged (heard only) and Com YT. I thought I heard a Redstart but never spotted it. 

Indigo Buntings, Wood Thrush, Field Sparrows with young, Tree Swallows going to nest boxes. Lots of House Wrens. E Towhees and catbirds galore. Great Blue Heron, TVs and a couple Black Vultures on the drive back to Granville. 

Some cool butterflies as well, most of which I’ll have to look up...
