Blendon Woods was v quiet so I headed to Woodside Green late morning.
I found an active mixed flock by the parking lot near the stream. Many Am GFs and chickadees but several other species. V pleasant spectacle for 15-20 minutes.
Best bird for me was a female Scarlet Tanager feeding on the seed heads like a goldfinch.
Warblers:
Chestnut-sided
Magnolia
BT Green
Blackburnian
Red-eyed Vireo
Warbling Vireo
A pair of Red-shouldered Hawks vocalizing.
Had a Cooper’s Hawk fly over 161 near the Hamilton Rd turnoff.
O/w, the expected species.
