I went out looking for Lapland longspurs Snow buntings and Horned larks along Miller Paul Road last week. Horned larks were all that I saw beside a Red-headed woodpecker. On my way home I stopped by Hoover Reservoir and met Mr Cornett. Can’t remember his first name.
He informed me about Tagg Rd in Licking County near Hartford/ Croton. Said he had seen many Lapland longspurs there. He also said that the person who had told him said he had seen an American pipit and Snow bunting.
The next day I went there and there were uncountable numbers of Lapland longspurs and Horned larks in many flocks I also saw a Short-earred owl perched on a top of a small evergreen in a front yard. Also saw several Northern harriers and a Rough-legged hawk.
Finally I was able to find 1 Snow bunting pointed out to me by the man in the car ahead of me.
