I tried for the Orange-crowned Warbler at the feeders at Sharon woods today but was unsuccessful. The other birders told me it had been seen at 9:30am today. I spent a little over an hour watching a couple Red-breasted Nuthatches, Juncos, chickadees, White-throated Sparrow, cardinals & jays but never saw the warbler. WPs just Downy, flicker & Red-bellied.

Adult Red-tailed Hawk.

From there I went to the spillway at Hoover and also did not see the Nashville Warbler that had been reported. I did have a large flock of robins there as well as Cedar Waxwings, some of which were bathing in the stream. Lots of starlings. Heard another Red-breasted Nuthatch.

Ducks included N Shoveler, Gadwall, Mallard, Red-breasted Merganser.
