Julie and I were looking over the lake at Buck Creek State Park this morning
when we saw a Little Gull. We saw it from the access off Route 4 but it flew
across the lake. We then ended up at the campground but couldn't spot it
from there. The south end and north end of the lake is frozen but there is
much open water in the middle of the lake. There are lots of Ring-billed
Gulls and a few Herring Gulls. Unfortunately much of the lake is not easily
viewed. It is hard to tell where the best place to look for it is at.

There were also 26 Tundra Swans on the lake. We also saw a few species of
ducks. We saw many Common Goldeneyes plus some Common and Hooded Mergansers.
There were lots of Lesser Scaup and we also saw four pintails.
