I stopped by my father's apartment at Wyoga Lake (Stow/Cuyahoga Falls border) yesterday after 5:00 pm and a quick scan of the water yielded these birds:
1. Common Loon - 4 (3 in breeding plumage, 1 not)
2. Horned Grebe - 2 (1 in breeding plumage, 1 not)
3. Bufflehead - 3 (all males)
4. Hooded Merganser - 7 (3 male, 4 female)
5. Red-breasted Merganser - 9 (5 male, 4 female)
6. Killdeer - 1
7. Ring-billed Gull - 1
Douglas W. Vogus - Akron, Ohio
