We FINALLY got a short eared owl at the rehoboth reclaimed strip mine area in Perry County this afternoon. It was our fifth or sixth try this winter. Also got to see five northern harriers at the same time getting ready to go to roost, I suspect. Also saw the dark morph rough legged hawk we have seen here before. This is the third time we have seen it this winter. All in all, a worthwhile trip.
