Early migrants were still mostly few & far between at these two reservoirs
north of Columbus. I stopped at Hogback Rd on upper Alum Creek Lake, then
went over to Panhandle Rd and the dam at Delaware Lake. Notables included:

Herons - no great #s, but Great Blues and Greens were widespread.
Osprey - 2 adults and 4 begging juveniles were around the platforms at
Hogback Rd
Sandhill Cranes - 3 were along Panhandle Rd, north of the dike crossing
Caspian Terns - 2 were with a flock of Ring-billed Gulls on the beach at
Delaware Lake
Shorebirds - disappointing, with water levels at Hogback Rd and Panhandle
marsh too high
Cuckoos - calling Yellow-bills were at both Hogback & Panhandle Rds
Flycatchers - Pewees were widespread, and calling Acadians were at Hogback
Rd and Delaware Dam, while Willows were at Panhandle Rd and Delaware Dam

E.Kingbirds - 2-3 were along both Hogback & Panhandle Rds
Swallows - all 6 species were along Panhandle Rd, with Banks and Barns the
most common (at 30+ each). A few Barns & Rough-wings were at the other
stops.

Warblers - nothing other than the expected Common Yellowthroats
Orioles - 1-2 Baltimores were along Hogback and Panhandle Rds
