Bird is singing & showing well today. I got here about 8:45am and just had my best looks at 10:35am from the paved trail after another pretty good look earlier.

I recommend as long as u can hear it singing near the paved trail, stay on the paved trail rather than go down by the stream where it’s more difficult to get a wide view.

The bird flies often but will perch about eye level and sing. It flew across the paved trail right in front of us, then back just inches from me below my waist! Look thru holes in the honeysuckle for bare perchest alhough I did see it perch then fly from above eye level perches on occasion.

As Bob mcnulty noted, the bird prefers the streamside of the trail (left as you walk down the trail from the main park/dead end of Washington St.

Mosquitos and gnats annoying so bug spray recommended.

My one previous trip here was in the afternoon and while the bird was singing until past 3, it was much easier to locate & see well this morning. I only got a glimpse on my previous trip in silhouette.

Good luck!
