I missed most of the warblers others saw at Blendon but saw Am Redstart & Blackburnian. Heard Peewee. Red-eyed Vireos easy to find. Lots of Wild Turkeys by the roadside.

At Pick Ponds, I had a Great Egrets & Great Blues at wood duck pond. A flock of shorebirds took off but most appeared to be killdeer but a smaller peep was amongst them. Water levels quite low & little open water. Chimney Swifts were coming in for drinks.

Ellis pond had an ad Bald Eagle and DC Cormorants. Along the Yellowlegs trail, I had juv Tree Swallows, more Chimney Swifts, N Mockingbird, Catbirds, Field & Song Sparrows. I heard a Bell’s Vireo not far from the eagle nest, just as a couple birders had mentioned to me. They said the birds had nested there and that they saw a family group today. These birders had heard a Red-breasted Nuthatch earlier at the iron bridge but I only heard White-breasted.
