Many reports of tundra swan flyovers yesterday, last night and today in Geauga County. Counted almost 400 on LaDue Reservoir along Valley Road during the noon hour. Close in viewing. Quite vocal.
Other waterfowl included gadwall, mallard, bufflehead, ruddy ducks, ring-necked ducks and probably others including at least one common loon and the usual autumn coots.
8 sandhill cranes were said to be present in the early AM.

Dan Best, Senior Naturalist - Geauga Park District
