There is a hooded merganser x common goldeneye hybrid at Eastwood Metropark Lake in Dayton, Oh. 3/9. Im pretty sure I found the same bird here a year or two ago. It's been hanging out near the main boat ramp. Hundreds of diving ducks are scattered across the lake. Plenty to look through lesser scaup, redheads and common goldeneye make up the majority.
