Having benefited from Bill Whan’s many informative posts these many 
years, I would be remiss if I didn’t add a note of support for him.
I was quite chilled by the boards decision to remove him from the
listserv and think that they were completely off the mark.

Someone before me called the decision condescending. That seems to sum it up.
