I never understood the sentiment that people were somehow enjoying the hobby incorrectly. As long as you aren’t harming the birds, the habitat, or other people, does it really matter?  We all take away something different from bird watching. Search, chase, watch feeders, or follow posts from the sofa. None are any more or less valid.
