Mary and I hit here again, to check on shorebirds. Lugged the scope in
From Bilstein this time. Shorter. 1 Pec. Ok?? Where did they go! 11 Lesser
Yellowlegs. 2 Greater. Still lots of waterfowl - mainly GW Teal and
Shovelers. Picked up FOY Rough winged Swallow. Finally…..
And our surprise of the afternoon - a March Barn Swallow! Wow. And beats
My Foy for that by 10 days! This was the Cattail Marsh.
We had started at Voice of America - to try for Vesper Sparrow. I am striking
Out on that one! Would be a county bird. Butler. I may try east fork Monday.
It’s also a county bird for Clermont. I'll wait and see what the weather does.
Odes notes - green darners around.
Good birding all.
